Overview

Formance is an open-source programmable ledger for modelling money movement, using a purpose-built DSL called Numscript to express transactions.

Splits, holds, and multi-party transfers are declared in Numscript rather than implemented in application code, producing a deterministic and auditable transaction history. It can be self-hosted or used as a managed cloud service, with connectors for common payment processors.
